Home Reading Program
- Summary: short version of the story, main idea of the story.
• Most important part and why: explain what was the main event of what you read and why you think it's important
• Prediction: what you think will happen next.
• Questions: NOT a question for the author, 3 questions you have about the story, what you are wondering about, things you want the answers to.
• Problem & Solution: something that’s wrong and how they fix it.
• Author's purpose: the reason why the author wrote the book
• Connections: an event in the story reminds you of something that has happened to you or someone you know
• Reflections: how you feel about something that’s happening in the story. (opinion)
• Character Traits: physical description of a character or description of their personality.
• Visualization: pictures I make in my head about what is going on in the story, what I see, description of where the story takes place.
